Aurelia Pless Smith

Roebuck, SC- Aurelia Pless Smith, 97, wife of the late Perry L. Smith, went to be with Jesus Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Born July 6, 1917 in Spartanburg, SC, Aurelia was a daughter of the late Joseph Fred and Ruth Elizabeth Shook Pless. She was a longtime member of Arkwright First Baptist Church. Aurelia is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Smith Henderson of Spartanburg, SC; one son, Steve Smith (Bunny) of Roebuck, SC; five grandchildren, Rhonda Youell (Gary) of Aiken, SC, Sue Gaines (Frank) of Taylors, SC, Joe Henderson (Rhonda) of Edgefield, SC, Heather Crisp (Frank) of Moore, SC, and Stephen Smith of Roebuck, SC; nine great grandchildren; and eight great great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three sisters; and one brother. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 24th, 1:00-1:45pm at Dunbar Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Dunbar Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm officiated by Reverend James Blackwood and Reverend Gary Youell. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
