Warren Thomason Oakman

Spartanburg, SC- Warren Thomason Oakman, 60, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 26, 2016. Born October 26, 1955 in Spartanburg, SC, Tommy was the son of the late Lawrence Oakman, Jr. and Nancy Thomason Oakman. He was his father’s apprentice at Oakman Brothers Glass Company, and as an adult, became owner and manager of the business. Tommy was a devout Clemson Football fan, an avid and accomplished pool player, and immensely enjoyed Southern rock bands, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Marshall Tucker Band. Tommy is survived by his uncle and aunt, James and Barbara Oakman of North Augusta, SC and their son, Dr. James Oakman, Jr. of Augusta, GA; his aunt, Anne Oakman of Spindale, NC, and her sons, Tommy Oakman of Hendersonville, NC and Robby Oakman of Rutherfordton, NC, and her daughter, Julie Oakman Barringer of Atlanta, GA; his sister in-law, Jerri Oakman and her sons, Patrick and Nathan Oakman of Spartanburg, SC; and his dear friend, Joe Mosley of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to his parents, Tommy was predeceased by his brother, Charles Lawrence Oakman. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 1st, 3PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
