Alfred F. “Don” Jackson, 99, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. He was born in Fort Mill, SC on September 18, 1925 to the late Alfred F. Jackson and Harriet Ruth Farmer Jackson.
Don enlisted in the United States Navy and honorably served his country in World War II. After returning home, he was the owner of Home Fuel Oil Company, Home Chemical, and State Supply Company/ Water Solutions. He was a devoted Christian and member of Hope Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Abernathy and Paula Trail; son, Frank Jackson (Laverne); seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Don was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Gossett Jackson, and three sisters.
Graveside services with military honors will be 10:00am on Friday, August 1, 2025 in Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Rd, Moore, SC 29369.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 3:00pm on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Hope Church, conducted by Rev. Jan King and Rev. David Powell.
