Annie Ruth Bailey (Ruthie Poofie) age 86 of Roebuck, SC passed away peacefully with family by her side on April 27, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House, after declining in health for the past year or so.

She was born on July 1, 1938, to the late Whitner W. Watts and Nancy P. Watts of Pauline. Ruth lived at the home of her daughter, Cindy Buehner, and son-in-law, Terry Buehner, who lovingly provided her with healthcare for many years.

Ruth is survived by her sisters Gladys Harris (Dennis) of Spartanburg, Mary Kate Vickery (Bobby Joe) of Spartanburg; brother Floyd Watts of Chesnee, SC. Ruth was preceded in death by her infant daughter Cheryl Lynn Floyd; sisters, Doris Watts Layton and Juanita Watts O’Shields McKinney of Pauline, SC; brothers, Everette Ernest and R.C. Watts of Spartanburg, SC.

Ruth was the beloved grandmother to Kyle (Aeriana) Buehner of Roebuck, SC and Jason (Seneca) Buehner of Simpsonville, SC. She was also a beloved great grandmother to Bellamy, Blakelee, and a baby boy due in July Buehner of Roebuck, SC; Emerson, Alden, and Thaddeus Buehner of Simpsonville, SC. She had a special relationship with Aubrey and Weston Smith of Inman; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who truly loved her and gave her the name, “Ruthie Poofie”.

Ruth was retired from American Fast Print in the early 1970s. She was also a member of Roebuck Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed spending time around her family and friends. In her earlier years she was the life of the party by always telling jokes, singing, and dancing. God gave her a unique talent of yodeling that was enjoyed by many.

Graveside services will be held 11:00am on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers- Kyle, Jason, and Emerson Buehner, Patrick Floyd, Ronnie and Donnie Vickery.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice House or a charity of you your choice.
