Our beloved mother, Audrey Joyce McIntyre, left this world peacefully on April 8, 2026. She was born in Spartanburg on April 12, 1934 to the late Nellie Aurelia Griffin and Wendell Hampton Owens. She was the wife of the late Conley Bernard McIntyre for 65 years.
She graduated from Spartanburg High School and Cecil's Business College.
Joyce's children were her pride and joy. She considered raising them with Conley her most significant accomplishment in life. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved traveling with Conley.
Joyce is survived by her son, Conley Bernard McIntyre, Jr., and her daughters, Nancy M. Hall (Billy) and Connie M. Kellner (Randolph); her grandchildren, Conley Bernard McIntyre, III (Kayla); Cole Donavan McIntyre (Karina) and Cooper Hoffman McIntyre (Emily); William Thomas Hall III (Caroline); Rebecca Griffin Lynch (Jason), Nealie McIntyre Floyd (John Warren) and William "Bart" Littlejohn (Rebecca); great-grandchildren Conley Bernard McIntyre IV and Meadow Marie McIntyre; Rowan Alexander McIntyre; Jackson Beau McIntyre, John Cooper Hoffman McIntyre and Hallie JoLeigh McInyre; William Thomas Hall IV; Wallace Elizabeth Lynch, Harriet Grace Lynch, and John Thomas Lynch; John William Floyd, Benjamin Gordon Floyd, and Thomas Williard Floyd.
The family is forever grateful and will always love and cherish Patricia Cohen, who lovingly and tenderly cared for Joyce for the last six years.
The family is also thankful for the staff at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, who compassionately and respectfully cared for Joyce during her last days.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 12:00pm at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Special friend of the family, Donald Gibson, will officiate. Visitation will be held at the graveside following the service. The family will be at the home.
