Betty Jo Clary

Betty Jo Clary of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the age of 79. She was born on August 9, 1946 to the late Lillie Mae Hill and Charlie Joe Mann.

A truly loving person, Betty Jo will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and care. She never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was the biggest fan of Elvis, and was devoted to her dog, Snuggie. Most of all, Betty Jo loved her family.

Betty Jo is survived by her love, her best friend, her husband of 43 years, James Ricky Clary; sons, Charles Cothran, Jr. and Wayne Cothran; daughter, Charlene Cothran; grandchildren, Christina Cothran, Albert “AJ” Cothran, Jr. and Elizabeth Cothran; three great-grandchildren; and brother, Norman Mann. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jackie Ozelle Mann, Sr.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00PM on Monday, August 3, 2026 in J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 in J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery, 3555 Clifton Glendale Road, Glendale, SC 29307.
