Brenda Casey Crenshaw

Brenda Casey Crenshaw, of Inman, SC passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at the age of 84. She was born in Enoree, SC on June 6, 1942 to the late Marion and Lillie Casey. She was married to her beloved husband of 57 years, Kenneth Crenshaw, until his passing last year.

Brenda was a graduate of Spartanburg High School (Class of 1961) and later attended Cecil’s Business College. She was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she served in the youth ministry and was especially dedicated to the Bereavement Committee.

Brenda was a true homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family and making a home filled with love. She loved to cook, tend to her flowers, and spend time with those she loved. Family was always at the heart of her life. She was actively involved in her children’s school activities and PTA, proudly supported her grandchildren in all they did, and was a loving and caring aunt.

Brenda also had a creative spirit and enjoyed sewing, painting, crocheting, and crafting. She especially loved sharing her creativity with her grandchildren, making memories together through crafts and other special projects. Her love for her family, her generous spirit, and the care she poured into those around her will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Allen Crenshaw (Angela), Angelene Bailey (Patrick), and Avonda Mitchem (Kelvin); grandchildren, Hailey Mitchem, Casey Crenshaw, Christian Bailey (Taylor), Hayden Mitchem (Madison), Kayla Bailey, William Crenshaw (Avery), and Hannah Mitchem; great-granddaughters, Raelynn, Lillie, and Magnolia Bailey and two more on the way; and close friend, Mary McCarter. Along with her parents and husband, Brenda was predeceased by her brothers, John Dixon, Charles, Ernest, and Jack Casey; and sisters, Mildred Wood and Patsy Owens.

The family would like to say a special thank you to her nieces, Renee Johnson, Tina Ford, and Sandra Mattson for their dedication to Brenda.

Visitation will be 12:00-12:45 PM on Monday, September 28, 2026 at J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, conducted by Rev. Scott Linnerud. Interment in Heritage Memorial Gardens will immediately follow.
