Carl Franklin Bagwell

Carl Franklin “Frankie” Bagwell, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at the age of 81. He was born on May 30, 1945 to the late Julia Mooneyham and James Leroy Bagwell.

Frankie proudly served seven years in the United States Army. He spent many years working as a printer and later retired from MSI Viking Gage.

Frankie loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also treasured spending time with his children and grandchildren, enjoying activities together and making memories along the way. With his humorous personality and charming nature, Frankie had a way of making people feel at ease. He was the kind of person you simply couldn't help but love, and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Ruth Harris Bagwell; children, Ginger Harris (Kevin) and Chad Bagwell; grandchildren, Will Harris (Grace), Allison Brady (Logan), Hannah Bagwell, and Christopher Bagwell; great-granddaughter, Bella; and many nieces and nephews. Frankie also leaves behind his lifelong good friends, Italo, Ron, and Gene. Along with his parents, Frankie was predeceased by his three brothers and one sister.
