Carroll Ray Porter, Sr Spartanburg – Carroll Ray Porter, Sr, 84, husband of the late Odessa B. Porter, died Thursday, April 15, 2021. He was born on June 12, 1936, to the late Ralph Wesley and Grace Tuck Porter. Carroll is survived by five sons, Ray Porter (Sue) of Mayo, Kenneth Porter (Shelly) of Hickory Tavern, Ralph Bright (Betty) of Duncan, Wendell Bright (Brenda) of Inman, Steve Bright (Elizabeth) of Spartanburg; daughter, Debbie Terry (Thomas) of Spartanburg; sister, Vyral R. Bogan of Jonesville; twenty-three grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty P. McSwain. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Cedar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
