Cheryl Ann Friend

Cheryl Ann Friend, 81, passed peacefully into the arms of her savior on March 14, 2026. She was born on May 11, 1944, in Adrian, Michigan.

She was raised in Toledo, Ohio, where she spent her early years before eventually moving to California, where she built a dedicated and successful career with BP. Later in life, Cheryl retired to Inman, South Carolina, to be closer to her family.

Cheryl was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered as a generous, kindhearted, and independent woman who brought warmth, laughter, and joy to those around her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and truly loved to laugh. She had a special love for children. She lit up whenever they were around and children were naturally drawn to her joyful spirit.

Her greatest love was her nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and her great-great-niece and great-great-nephew. She treasured every moment spent with them, attending countless games and school events to show her loyal support and encouragement.

Cheryl was incredibly giving to her family, always offering her love, time, and support in countless ways. She was deeply devoted to her family.

Cheryl was a truly generous soul. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and by her caregivers, who became dear friends. Her family will forever remember her with love and gratitude, honoring her as they carry on her memory in their hearts.

A private service will be held by the family.
