Cindy Kay Arnold Bishop

Cindy Kay Arnold Bishop, 65, of Spartanburg, SC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 22, 2023, surrounded by her family. Born in Spartanburg on May 17, 1958, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas Arnold and is survived by her parents, Jonell S. and Jerry W. Fowler. Cindy graduated from Dorman High School and then started her business, Cindy’s Styling Salon, which she owned and operated for over 40 years. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband, Jerry, in their motor home. She was also the founder of United Joy Singers. Born and raised in Canaan Baptist Church, Cindy was a member of Roebuck Methodist Church. She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Jerry G. Bishop; children, Kevin Bishop (Brandy) and Keith Bishop; grandchildren, Sierra Bishop and Layla Bishop; and siblings, Lorie Grant (Tony), Kathy Pearson (Todd), and Billy Fowler (Candy). Cindy’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm at The J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 3:00pm at the Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Jones Brewer, Rev. Michael Bradley, and Rev. Scott Wolfe. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 South Church Street Ext, Roebuck, SC 29376. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Donna Jolley for her care of Cindy.
