Cynthia Case Soto, 51, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was born February 1, 1974, the daughter of Jerry Richard Case and Betty Marlene Sizemore Case.
Born and raised in Spartanburg, Cindy graduated from Gettys D. Broome High School. She had a generous heart and a gentle spirit. Compassionate to everyone she met, human and animal alike, she was the kind of person who truly wouldn’t hurt a fly. Whether it was caring for family, friends, or the residents she served as a caregiver at Eden Terrace, Cindy gave of herself completely. Her coworkers and the residents adored her, and her selflessness touched many lives.
Known for her great sense of humor, Cindy had a way of cracking herself up and making everyone around her laugh. She was wonderfully expressive and proudly goofy, bringing joy and lightness wherever she went. She loved animals, treasured cute jewelry, and found peace in nature. Being around her felt easy; she made people feel welcome, safe, and appreciated.
She is survived by her husband, Juan Eduardo Mitchell Soto; brothers, Dennis Case (Jennifer), Joey Case, and Keith Case (Shannon); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Eden Terrace.
Cindy’s absence leaves a hole in the hearts of many, but her love and laughter will live on in the memories we hold dear. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
