Dennis Ray Bridges

Greer, SC- Dennis Ray Bridges, 75, husband of Tracy McAlister Bridges, passed away on Sunday January 1st, 2023. Born July 21st, 1947 in Shelby, North Carolina, Dennis was a son of the late William Hardin and Frances Ray Sides Bridges.

Dennis was born and raised in Shelby, NC. He joined the Army and proudly served our country in Vietnam. Dennis worked 25 years for Williard Oil Company as District Superintendent over their convenience stores in both NC and SC. He was an excellent golfer and an avid and talented pool player.

In addition to his beloved wife, Tracy, Dennis is survived by his children, Todd and Angie Bridges of Myrtle Beach, SC; by his stepson, Matt McAlister; by his stepdaughter and her husband, Jaime and Michael Smith; and by his two beautiful grandchildren, Cade and Raylee Smith that were the joy of his life. He is also survived by his brother, Chris Bridges and family; by his sister, Michele Leet and family; and by his sister, Cathie Davis and family.

An informal Memorial/Remembrance service will be held Sunday, January 8^th, 3:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376. Bring a special memory to share or a funny story to celebrate his life and who he was.
