Dennis Ray Willis

Lyman, SC- Dennis Ray Willis, 71, husband of Jennifer Oliveros Willis, died Sunday, January 23, 2022 at his home.

Born December 17, 1950 in Spartanburg, SC, Dennis was a son of the late Vernon Everette Willis, Sr. and Ada Belle Harmon Willis.

Dennis graduated from Dorman High School in 1969. He worked at Diversified for many years before going to Spartanburg School District 6 maintenance where he was department employee of the year in 2017. He retired recently with 16 years of service. He had a love for music and guitars. He also enjoyed traveling especially to any coastal area.

In addition to his wife, Jennifer, Dennis is survived by his daughter Lori (Justin) Willis-Richards and one sister Carol (Ron) Benson and their son, Matthew. Also, a nephew Kevin Willis and many other cherished family members.

He was predeceased by a brother.

Dunbar Funeral Home is serving the family. The family is planning a private memorial celebration in his honor at a later time.
