Donna Shillinglaw Townsend

Moore, SC- Donna Shillinglaw Townsend, 81, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born May 20, 1941, in Sharon, SC, Donna was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Shillinglaw.

She is survived by her sisters, Rebecca “Becky” Shillinglaw Montgomery (Walt) of Clover, SC, and Gail Shillinglaw Crocker (Grady) of Spartanburg, SC; a brother in-law, Bobby Bryant of Darlington, SC; eight nieces and nephews; and a number of great nieces and nephews.

Donna was predeceased by her husband, Bobby Eugene Townsend; her daughter, Karen Townsend; a sister, Kathy Bryant; and a brother, William "Billy" Shillinglaw, II.

After moving to Spartanburg from Westminster in 1990, she worked for Spartanburg County RMC Office and for Bank of America. Donna was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer of the Ruth Sunday School Class.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 11^th, 10-10:45AM at Morningside Baptist Church. The service will follow in the sanctuary at 11AM.

The burial will be held Thursday, August 11, 3:00PM in the First Baptist Memorial Park in Westminster, SC.
