Dr. Cameron Wayne Wooten

Dr. Cameron Wayne Wooten, 46, of Woodruff, SC passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025. He was born in Simpsonville, SC on May 9, 1979 to Larry and Donna Wooten.

After graduating from Hillcrest High School (Class of 1997), Cameron followed his calling into the ministry. He earned his bachelor’s degree from North Greenville University and went on to receive both a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Cameron faithfully served as a missionary throughout the Southeast, including Kentucky and Virginia, and around the world, with a special passion for ministry in Asia. He previously served as a youth minister at Bethel Baptist Church in Berea and was currently serving as Missions Ministry Consultant with the Spartanburg Baptist Network.

Theologically brilliant and deeply committed to the calling God placed on his life, Cameron delighted in sharing his knowledge of Scripture. He was a gifted teacher and mentor who invested in the next generation of ministers, encouraging them with wisdom, humility, and grace.

Beyond his ministry, Cameron embraced life with an adventurous spirit. He loved exploring new places and being immersed in nature. A lifelong soccer player, he played from childhood through college and into adulthood. Above all else, Cameron loved his family. They were his greatest joy, his grounding force, and the heart of all he did.

Cameron valued being a husband and father above all else and deeply loved his family with all of his heart. Cameron leaves behind his wife of 24 years, Lyn Reagan Wooten and daughters, Myla Elizabeth (17) and Arabella Marie (13). Father, Larry Wooten and mother, Donna Renoir Wooten along with his sister, Cherie Wooten and nephews Landon and Larson Thomason. Mother-In-Law, Shawn Johnson Brabant, brother-in-law Ryan Thomas Reagan and sister-in-law, Kimberley Doyley and family.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Church at The Mill Worship Center, 4455 Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC 29369.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Church at The Mill Worship Center.
