Eleanor Mary McLuckie

Mrs. Eleanor Marion Stafford McLuckie “El”, age 90, passed away peacefully at her residence August 6th, 2025. She was born in Garfield, NJ June 30th, 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley Stafford and Mary Korzenski Stafford, her 4 brothers and 1 sister, and her loving husband of 66 years Albert E. McLuckie.

Mrs. McLuckie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from business school after high school and went on to work for GE Corporation as an Administrative Assistant. Eleanor was a devoted member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church for many years. She loved to travel, she was active in her church and volunteered to support the Boy Scouts, Sunday school and the community often. Eleanor was a homemaker, she loved to cook and bake, plant flowers, sew, play bridge with her friends, and take care of her pets and family.

Eleanor is survived by her 3 children. One daughter; Linda Ellen Hayes (Philip) of Moore, two sons; James Kevin McLuckie of Washington D.C, and Dr. Alan McLuckie (Penny) of Roanoke VA; by her grandchildren Meghan, Dylan, Faith, Corey, Samantha, Jason, and Adam; and by her rescue dog Jill ‘Jilly Bean’, whom she all loved dearly.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Georgeann, her caregiver. A private memorial service will take place at a later date to scatter her ashes with her spouses as per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. McLuckie wished for donations to be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society or your favorite charity.
