Elouise Brown Faulkner

Spartanburg, SC - Elouise Brown Faulkner, age 81, passed away on November 18, 2023, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was born on April 4, 1942, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late Joseph Hershal Brown and Marion Alexander Brown. Elouise was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her thoughtfulness and loving nature. She always went above and beyond to help others and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Elouise attended Greenville High School and later pursued higher education at Limestone University. She dedicated her career to teaching elementary school in Spartanburg District 6, where she made a lasting impact on her students and colleagues. In addition to her husband Steve, Elouise is survived by her daughter; Kimberly Lynell Rathke, and her two sons; Brian Faulkner and Steven Faulkner Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Will, Seth, Nathaniel, and Luke Faulkner, and Lexi Rathke. Elouise was a faithful member of St James United Methodist Church, where she found solace and community. The funeral services will be held on November 25, 2023, at St James United Methodist Church, 11:00 AM, with a receiving of friends to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St James United Methodist Church or Mobile Meals, both located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Donations can be sent to St James UMC at 213 N Landford Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29301, or to Mobile Meals at 419 East Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29302. The funeral arrangements are being handled by the J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Elouise Brown Faulkner will be remembered for her kind heart, dedication to education, and love for her family and community.
