Eric Lee Gilliam

Spartanburg, SC- Eric Lee Gilliam, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 18, 2021 at a family residence while under hospice care. Born in Spartanburg, SC on December 10, 1953, he was the son of the late George W. and Elizabeth Ragan Gilliam. He was a retired painter and enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. Surviving is a son, Justin Gilliam and his wife, Jennifer, of Spartanburg, SC; a daughter, Erica Simmons and her husband, Benjamen, of Arizona; four grandchildren, Brock and Grayson Gilliam, Caleb and Asher Simmons; a brother, Steve Gilliam of Spartanburg, SC; a sister, Frieda Splawn (George) of Roebuck, SC; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Pat Hughey and her husband, Oscar; and a brother, Butch Gilliam. Due to Covid-19, there will be a private service held for the family.
