Eulalia Seay, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away on December 7, 2025, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Curtis Lee and Katie Webb Hyder.
Eulalia and her late husband, Bryan Seay, were married for 76 years. She is survived by her daughters, Martha Seay, Katie Rice (David), and Jane Myers (the late Steve); her sisters, Jane Riley and Mildred Sams; five grandchildren, Charlie, Charlotte Anne (Joey), Bryan (Alyssa), Alex (Dasha), and Katie; and five great-grandchildren, Blakely, Joseph, Thomas, Lucy, and Pearson. In addition to her husband and parents, Eulalia was predeceased by twin grandsons, two sons-in-law, two brothers, and two sisters.
Eulalia was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church on North Church Street. She enjoyed teaching children and youth throughout her life. She sang in the church choir and volunteered for the Good News Club.
Eulalia retired from USC-Upstate and Spartan Mills Corporate Office. She was a member of the Spartanburg Woman’s Club and the Lillie Knox Garden Club, often serving in leadership roles.
Funeral services will be held at Morningside Baptist Church, 897 S. Pine Street in Spartanburg on Friday, December 12, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary, followed by the funeral at 12:30 PM. The burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd, Spartanburg at 2:00 PM.
