Fred Donald "Freddie" Skipper, Jr.

Simpsonville, SC- Fred Donald “Freddie” Skipper, 50, died Thursday, June 17, 2021 after an extended illness. Born May 2, 1971 in Spartanburg, SC, Freddie was the son of Fred Donald “Donnie” Skipper, Sr. and the late Karen Floyd. He was a graduate of Dorman High School, class of 1989, and honorably served his country in the US Army during Operation Desert Storm. Freddie loved golf and the companionship of his loyal friends. In addition to his father, Donnie, Freddie is survived by his longtime companion, Claudia Beard; stepsons, Chandler Beard and Korbinian Galler; his stepmother, Wanda Skipper; stepsister, Tammie Johnson; grandfather, Fred T. Skipper; and uncle, Rickey Skipper. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 24th, 4-6PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Military Honors will be performed. Following the visitation, the family will be at the home of Donnie and Wanda Skipper. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org/donate
