Gale Waldrop Murray

Spartanburg, SC- Cynthia Gale Waldrop Murray, 76, wife of the late Rudolph Landon Murray, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

Born April 29, 1947 in Spartanburg, SC, Gale was a daughter of the late Charles Waldrop and Marie Nelms. She was a longtime member of Canaan Baptist Church and enjoyed crafting and decorating. 

She is survived by her son, Todd Smith (Sherry) of Woodruff, SC; her daughter, Ranae Loftis (Jeremy Todd “J.T.”) of Anderson, SC; her beloved grandchildren, Brianna Smith, Sabrina Walton, Bobbie Lee Walton, and Johnny Walton; her sister, Jan Knight (Robert) of Simpsonville, SC, and her devoted Aunt Ida Splawn.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 16th, 3:00PM in Canaan Baptist Church cemetery, officiated by Reverend Darrell Revels.

Pallbearers will be Ray Farmer, Andy Sherman, Brandon McGee, Colton McGee, Robbie Holloway, and Steve Chabek.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Canaan Baptist Church, 701 Canaan Road, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
