Harold Mitchell King

Harold Mitchell King, 69, of Spartanburg, peacefully met his Lord and Savior on August 14, 2026.

Mitchell was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a faithful Christian man. Through his work and his life, Mitchell was known for his dedication, strength, and unwavering commitment to the people he loved.

Mitchell spent many years in the floor covering industry. He was the owner of King’s Floor Service, where he spent many years building his business through hard work and determination. More than his work, however, Mitchell’s greatest pride was his family. He cherished his wife, Jenny, his sons, and his grandchildren, and his love for them was evident in the way he lived his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Jenny King; his three sons, Andrew King (Jessica), Joseph King, and Peter King; and his four grandchildren, Harper King, Hudson King, Jeremy King, and Hollis King. He is also survived by his sisters, Patsy Knighton (Terry), Dianne Fisher, Debbie King, and Betty Jo Durkin (Sam); and brother, Mike King (Dianne).

Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Virginia King, and his brother, Bobby King.

Mitchell’s faith was an important part of who he was. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at home with his Savior.

A memorial service celebrating Mitchell’s life will be announced at a later date.

His family will forever carry his memory, his love, and the faith he shared with them. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
