Horace Bailey Jr.

Spartanburg, SC - Horace Bailey Jr. (79) went home to be with the Lord peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 19th, 2023. He was born February 6th, 1944 to Horace Bailey Sr and Lucille Bailey. He was married to Gail Bailey for 59 years. Horace was a faithful member of Philadelphia Baptist Church for many years. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Mason, Shriner, a member of Woodmen of the World, and Hillbilly Motorcade. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Tim and Anne Bailey, and daughter and son in law Tina and Tommy Wilson. Most of all he loved the role of being Papa to Will Bailey, Courtney Bailey, Bailey Wilson Coggins, and husband Cole, and Thomas Wilson and wife Anna. He dearly loved his brother Carroll Bailey and wife Paula and his sister Janice Brown and husband Bob. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Bailey Hand. A memorial service will be held Friday September 22nd, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Philadelphia Baptist Church. 3119 Hwy 56 Pauline, SC 29374.
