James Walker "Dickie" Fleming

James Walker “Dickie” Fleming, 83, of Cross Hill, SC passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on June 15, 1942 to the late James Albert and Marie Lord Fleming.

Dickie proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Marie Corps. Continuing his devotion to his community, he went on to be an agent with Allstate Insurance for 32 years and a volunteer with United Way. Dickie was a member of Church at the Mill and the Spartanburg Lions Club for many years. He was also a member of the Gamecock Club since 1972 and avid golfer. But most of all, Dickie was a loving, giving father and Papa to his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Fleming-Bailey (Greg); son, Darryl Fleming (Sharon); grandchildren, Trey Smith-Carrion (Cam), Nichole Millwood (Austin), Shawn Carrion (Krissy), Corbin Bailey (Katie), Peyton Bailey, and Jackson Bailey; and great-grandchildren, Hayes, Turner, and Mary Louise. Dickie was predeceased by his brother, Jack Fleming.

Visitation will be 1:30-2:15 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Church at The Mill, 4455 Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC 29369. Memorial services will follow at 2:30 PM, conducted by Rev. DJ Horton, Rev. Asheton Amerson, and Rev. Jason Williamson.
