James Horace Goodman

Moore, SC- James Horace Goodman, 89, husband of Marie Elizabeth Baker Goodman, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his home. Mr. Goodman honorably served in the US Navy. He was a founding member of Boiling Springs church of Christ where he also served as an elder. Mr. Goodman was general manager of Pitts Motor Company and retired from Union Camp. In addition to his wife of 70 years, Marie, James is survived by his children, Donna Goodman Thigpen (Lynn), David Goodman (Lisa), Jerry Goodman; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 23rd, 11:00AM in Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Rd, Moore, SC 29369. The family requests that those attending observe social distancing and wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Instead Foundation, 1409 W. O. Ezell Blvd., Spartanburg, 29301, Interim Hospice, 16 Hyland Road, Greenville, 29615, or Boiling Springs church of Christ, 870 Double Bridge Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
