James Larren Tucker

James Larren Tucker, lovingly known as "Jamie," passed away on May 11, 2026, in Apex, North Carolina, at the age of 43. Born on June 12, 1982, in Greer, South Carolina, Jamie lived a life marked by dedication to his family, education, and professional pursuits.

He graduated from Dorman High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Clemson University, as well as a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University. Over his career he advocated brilliantly for causes he held deeply, including supporting nonprofits, finding a cure for Parkinson's and creating a better healthcare system.

Jamie is survived by his beloved wife, Richelle and their cherished daughter, Camille; his parents, Larren and Monica Tucker; and his grandmother, Joyce Jeffers. He also leaves behind his sister Amber Parris and her husband Jason, along with their sons Nathan and Logan. Jamie's extended family includes Barry and Angie Tucker; Benita Heintz (George), uncles James (Patricia), Paul, Thomas ("Mike"), and Osborne Jeffers; great-aunts Mary West, Janet Porterfield and Johnnie Mae Winningham; as well as his brother-in-law Patrick Jones and a host of cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by Clayton and Norma Jean Tucker as well as James A. Jeffers.

Jamie's memory will be carried forward by all who knew him. His legacy of love for family and dedication to his pursuits will remain an enduring source of inspiration. May his memory be a blessing.

Funeral Services will be held at J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home on Monday May 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with a visitation from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Burial will follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens.
