Jane Vance Vellines

Spartanburg, SC- Jane Vance Vellines, 81, wife of Richard Joseph Vellines, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022.

Born June 14, 1941 in Kernersville, NC, Jane was a daughter of the late Marvin Dewitt and Hattie Vance. For many years before her retirement, she was the secretary for Holy Communion Lutheran Church and was a volunteer at Spartanburg Regional. Jane was an active member of Southside Baptist Church where she was a part of the Adult 4 Women’s Class, Groovy Grands, and Happy Hearts.

Jane loved to travel and spend time with her grandkids. She could often be found on the sidelines of their endeavors showing her loving support.

In addition to her husband of 62 years, Jane is survived by her son, Steven Vellines of Tucker, GA; her daughter, Donna Seay (Stacey) of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Samuel and Annabette Vellines, Regan and Connor Seay; and several nieces and nephews.

Jane was the last surviving of her eight siblings.

A visitation will be Thursday, November 17^th, 1:30-2:45PM at Southside Baptist Church.

Funeral services will follow at 3PM in the sanctuary, officiated by Reverend Dr. Schuyler Peterson.

Entombment will be held in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
