Jerre Sullivan Crocker, 86, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026.
A native of Missouri, Jerre graduated as the Valedictorian of her class at Hornersville High School, where she also played basketball and was crowned Homecoming Queen. She went on to enjoy a fulfilling career in finance at WSPA until her retirement, when she devoted herself to caring for her beloved grandchildren.
Affectionately known as "Nana," Jerre loved her family deeply and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a devoted member of Fairforest Baptist Church, serving faithfully as a Sunday School teacher for many years. Her deep love for the Lord and her steadfast faith were the cornerstones of her life.
She was an exceptional cook who found joy in sharing meals with family and friends. Her kitchen was famous for her comforting chicken and dumplings, homemade chocolate gravy, and decadent red velvet cake. Above all, she will be remembered for the boundless love, laughter, kindness, and warmth she brought to everyone who knew her.
Jerre was married to the late Sidney George Sullivan for 35 cherished years. Following his passing, she later married the late Preacher James Crocker, Sr.
Jerre is survived by Children: Blake Sullivan (Tomomi), Kim Deering (Mickey), and Stan Sullivan (Tammy), Grandchildren: Midori Williams (Barton), Asami Pritchard (Jeff), Jake Sullivan, Alex Bridges (Chandler), Michael Deering (Hayley), David Deering (Jessica), Sydney Christmas (Andrew), and Spencer Sullivan, Great-Grandchildren: Tallulah Christmas, Roan Williams, and Remi Williams. She also leaves behind her best friend of 40 years, Marty Mabry, who will miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Baker, and her brothers, Danny Moore and Johnny Baker.
