Joan Messer Jackson

Spartanburg, SC- Joan Messer Jackson, 80, died Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

Born April 30, 1942 in Glen Springs, SC, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Lawson Messer and Albert Messer. Mrs. Jackson was a resident of Spartanburg, SC and a member of Roebuck Baptist Church. 

Joan is survived by her son, Mark Jackson and his wife, Angie; granddaughter, Gina Jackson of Cornelius, NC; and Joan’s sister, Nora Morgan of Spartanburg, SC.

Joan was predeceased by her first husband, Bill Jackson; and son; Joel Jackson; second husband, Wade Dobbins; and brother, Wayne Messer.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 29^th, 2-3PM at Roebuck Baptist Church. 

Funeral services will follow in the sanctuary at 3:00PM, officiated by Reverend Dr. Tim Williams.

The burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
