Joe Allen Gowan

Joe Allen Gowan, 68, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026. He was born on May 29, 1958, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to the late Joe Dean Gowan and Elizabeth Murph Gowan.

Joe had a passion for music and entertainment that touched many lives. He spent much of his career as a radio DJ, working at several radio stations and sharing his love of good music with listeners throughout the years. His gift for entertaining extended beyond the radio, as he enjoyed bringing joy and laughter to others through events and gatherings.

Joe was a proud member of the Shriners and was known for his generous spirit and giving heart. He was the kind of person who was always willing to lend a helping hand and make a difference in the lives of those around him.

For 19 years, Joe shared a loving and devoted relationship with the love of his life, Deborah Hutchinson. Their time together was filled with love, companionship, and cherished memories.

Joe leaves behind a legacy of music, laughter, kindness, and friendship. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00pm, Monday, July 27, 2026 at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
