Juanita Burrell McBride, 95, of Roebuck, SC passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026. She was born in Campobello, SC to the late Charlie Broadus and Emma Finch Burrell. She was the beloved wife of the late Eddie Williber McBride, Sr. for 68 years.
Juanita, lovingly known as “Polly” to her family, was a graduate of Columbia College. She worked for many years with Felters and H&R Block before retiring in her 80s. She was a past Worthy Matron of The Order of the Eastern Star and past Royal Matron of The Order of the Amaranth, as well as a member of the SC Cattlewomen’s Association. Juanita was a devoted Christian and long-time member of Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her sons, Eddie W. McBride, Jr. (June) of Maryland and Kenneth E. McBride of Prosperity, SC; grandchildren, Tiffany M. Bennett (Rick) and Eddie W. McBride III of Duncan, SC; and great-grandchildren, Lochlan and Shirley Bennett.
Along with her parents and husband, Juanita was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia McBride.
Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1399 Walnut Grove Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, conducted by Rev. David Sanders. Burial will immediately follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Landrum, SC.
