Judith Ann “Judy” Swick Weld of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the age of 83. She was born in Hammond, Indiana on November 20, 1942 to the late Mary Richardson and Harold Ernest Swick and was the wife of the late Stanley Addison Weld for 59 wonderful years.
After graduating from Jefferson High School, Judy earned an associate’s degree in business from Purdue University. She was a quick-witted woman with a bright smile and a contagious laugh. With her consistent generosity and strong will, everyone around Judy knew of her unwavering beliefs.
Judy enjoyed many things, especially playing bridge with friends, visiting the beach, and caring for her dog, Murphy. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who would do anything and everything she could to show her family her love and support.
She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Weld Shelton (Ricky) and Susan Weld Ryan (Thomas); grandchildren, Addison Cramer (Kelly), Kyrsten Deinlein (Reid), Patrick Shelton, Hannah Ryan, Addie Grace Ryan, Ella Ryan, and Tom Ryan; great-grandson, James Deinlein; and brother, Richard Harold Swick (Sherry).
The family will have a private celebration of Judy’s life. In memory of Judy, contributions may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society.
