Justin Tyler Berry-Hunter of Boiling Springs, SC passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at the age of 29. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on February 9, 1997 to Melissa Dawn Berry and the late Duone Dornell Hunter.
After graduating from Dorman High School in 2015, Justin attended Spartanburg Community College. He also earned a Certificate in Welding from R. D. Anderson Applied Tech Center.
Justin was full of life and love. He loved his Lord and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for many years. He loved to bring joy and laughter to those around him. Most of all, he loved his family and was a wonderful father.
He is survived by his daughter, Jaqueline Cole; stepdaughter, Maddie Cole; mother, Melissa Berry; siblings, Trae Styles, Austin DeShields, Adrian DeShields, Bryson Porter, Kirstyn Palmer (Demetrius), and Angel Godfrey; grandfather, Leon Hunter; special friend, Stephanie Cole; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his father, Duone “DD” Hunter, Justin was predeceased by his grandparents, Lisa Godfrey, Ronnie Berry, and Dorothy Hunter; and great-grandparents, Jessie and Rebecca Tallent, Josephine Berry, Oberan and Carrie Hunter, and Ralph and Doll Norman.
Visitation will be 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2026 in Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3000 Stone Station Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, conducted by Rev. Frankie Taylor. Burial in Heritage Memorial Gardens will immediately follow.
