Lerlie E. "Eddie" Hughes

Lerlie E. “Eddie” Hughes Roebuck, SC- Lerlie Edward Hughes, 70, husband of Lana Ruppe Hughes, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born March 8, 1951 in Spartanburg, SC, Eddie was a son of the late Lerlie Jones and Doris Switzer Hughes. He was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and enjoyed the Sunday evening bible study. In addition to his wife, Lana, Eddie is survived by his daughter, Alysia Wyatt (Chris) of Roebuck, SC; grandchildren, Payton Wyatt (Sara) of Sumter, SC, Ethan Wyatt, and Carter Wyatt, both of Roebuck, SC; and two sisters, Linda Birch (Don) of Roebuck, SC and Geraldine Ivey Provinge of Gaffney, SC. He was predeceased by two brothers, Calvin and Melvin Hughes. The family wishes to thank the staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for their loving care. A visitation will be Thursday, March 25th, 3-3:45PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00PM in the Sanctuary, officiated by Reverend Jim Oliver and Reverend Joe Burnett. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, Building Fund, P O Box 229, Roebuck, SC 29376.
