Linda Lee Adams

Linda Lee Adams, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away in the comfort of her home on July 13, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on January 26, 1947, in Amarillo, Texas, Linda's life was a testament to love, dedication, and unwavering kindness.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by her devoted children, Tracy Dimsdale (Joe), Melissa Clayton, and Charles Adams (Rebecca); and her grandchildren, Ashton Clayton and Wesley Dimsdale. She is also survived by her sister, Kaye Tillotson (Bruce), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles Glenn Adams; her parents, Billy Joe and Hazel Lee Burns; and her brother, Mark J. Burns.

Linda's journey through life was marked by her dedication to education and her professional career. A graduate of Spartanburg High School in 1965, she furthered her education at Cecil's Business College, which led to a rewarding career in the administrative offices of David P. Berry, M.D., PA. Linda dedicated over 30 years to her work, where she formed deep bonds that extended beyond colleagues to become an extended family.

Her love for animals was profound, and she was a staunch supporter of rescue organizations. Linda found joy in nurturing and caring for creatures in need, especially the feral community of kittens she tended to with unwavering compassion.

Linda was known for her bold yet gentle spirit, a woman who stood up for the hungry and those in need in her community. Her firecracker personality, coupled with her loving and understanding nature, made her a beloved figure in the lives of many. She was a proud member of the Second Presbyterian Church and cherished attending reunions with her 1965 SHS classmates and her Drayton, SC community.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home in Spartanburg, SC. A private family service will follow.

As we remember Linda, we celebrate a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Linda's honor, reflecting her generous spirit and commitment to making the world a better place.

Linda will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
