Linda Hixson Moore

Spartanburg, SC- Linda Hixson Moore, 77, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 7, 2021. A lifelong resident of Spartanburg, SC, born July 9, 1943, and the widow of Bill Moore, Linda was the daughter of the late Edgar Ulis and Clara M. Hixson. She faithfully attended North Spartanburg Church of God for over forty years. She sang in the choir and was in the sanctuary Sunday School class. Mrs. Moore graduated from Spartanburg High School, was a longtime employee of Hatley Construction Company, and retired from Clarkson Industrial in Spartanburg. Linda’s only hobbies were putting miles on her car visiting friends and family and going out for cheap lunch. Surviving is one son, Darryl Moore (Crystal) of Spartanburg; one grandson, Ashton Moore of Spartanburg; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Moore was the last surviving of her immediate family and was predeceased by her four brothers, A.J. Hixson, Reverend Clarence Hixson, Johnny Hixson, and Reverend James C. Hixson; and one sister, Lee Ann Brown. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 11th, 11:00AM until 12:30PM at North Spartanburg Church of God. Services will follow at 12:30PM officiated by Reverend Larry Flippo. A private burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Spartanburg Church of God. Guests are kindly requested to social distance and wear their masks. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Magnolia Manor of Spartanburg who cared for Linda and to Andrea Hines for her kindness and support.
