Lori Lee Wheeler

Cowpens, SC- Lori Lee Wheeler, 46, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born March 24, 1975 in Spartanburg, SC, Lori was a daughter of Sondra Blackburn Wheeler and the late Paul Edward Wheeler, Sr. She was a Charter member of Consuming Fire Christian Outreach in Chesnee, SC. Lori took the saying “charity begins at home” to heart and made her house a home to countless others. She had a loving, generous heart and took care of everyone, extending beyond her family. Lori gave until her last breath through organ donation, giving the gift of life to three others. In addition to her mother, she leaves behind her daughter, Chelsea Putnam Banks; her son, Isaiah Putnam; two grandchildren, Zayden Patterson and Chloe Banks; her foster children, Jakobe and Mason Butler of the home; a sister, Katherine Worthy (Tim); two nieces; and three nephews. Lori was predeceased by a son, Jacob Lee Brock; a brother, Paul Wheeler, Jr.; and a sister, Michelle Hatchette. The family will receive friends Friday, October 15th, 5-7PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 16th, 1:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Tim Worthy. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
