Wanda Lynne Michael

Wanda “Lynne” Michael, 66, of Roebuck, South Carolina, passed away on September 17, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. She was the beloved daughter of the late Harold and Marcelle Owens.

Lynne was a devoted wife, loving mother, treasured sister, aunt, and friend. She was humble, giving, kind, with a wonderful gift for making people laugh. Her warmth and sense of humor could brighten any room. She had a special way of making those around her feel loved, welcomed, comfortable.

More than anything, Lynne loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved traveling, riding up to the mountains with her husband, going to concerts—especially to see George Strait—along with spending days shopping with her daughter, Gracie. Some of her happiest moments were the simplest ones: being surrounded by the people she loved most.

She is survived by her loving husband, Leon Michael; her daughter, Gracie Michael, who will forever carry her mother’s love with her; her brother, Jab Owens, alongside his wife, Olivia; her mother-in-law, Helen Michael; her sisters-in-law, Lucy Ramintanin, Kalliope Jackson with her husband, Tim, plus Niki Mullis with her husband, David; as well as her beloved nieces and nephews, Maria Flippo, Cannon Mullis, Jameson Mullis, Aniston Jackson, Yaden Yates, Tripp Flippo, Mac Flippo, and Sofia Flippo.

Lynne will be remembered not for the illness she faced, but for the beautiful life she lived. She will be remembered for her laughter, generosity, humility, kindness, and the love she gave so freely to others.

She was deeply loved in this life. The love she gave will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 5:00-7:30pm at The J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home & Crematory, 690 Southport Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 2:00pm at Roebuck Baptist Church, 1979 E Blackstock Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376. Burial will immediately follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S Church St Ext, Roebuck, SC 29376.
