Mark Allen Cavendish

Spartanburg – Mark Allen Cavendish, 59, died Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

He was born on March 22, 1963, to Orvin L. “Monk” and Sylvia Nutter Cavendish. Mark was a 1981 graduate of Spartanburg High School where he was a standout baseball player. He was also a graduate of Clemson University, Class of 1986. Mark was an avid sports fan and loved to fish and golf.  He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.  Mark was a member of Cedar Spring Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Lee Cavendish of Spartanburg, Caroline Cavendish of Raleigh, NC and their mother, Andrea Cavendish of Spartanburg; brother, Kent Cavendish (Allison) of Inman; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark was predeceased by his grandparents; Keith and Willie Nutter and Lon and Elsie Cavendish.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Cedar Spring Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM officiated by Reverend Dr. Todd Lowe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Spring Baptist Church; 140 Cedar Springs Pl, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
