Melody Joyce Reed Hyatt

Melody Joyce Reed Hyatt, 61, beloved wife of 38 years to Steve Hyatt, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026. She was Born February 23, 1964 in Spartanburg County, SC, to the late Harold and Joyce Reed.

Melody retired from Pauline-Glenn Springs Elementary School where she worked as a first-grade teaching assistant for many years. She is survived by her husband Steve; three children, Steven Hyatt, Charles Hyatt, and Katherine Childers; grandchildren Edan Hyatt and Sage Childers; and brothers Chip and Tim Reed.

Receiving of friends will be 10:00AM on Friday, February 6th at Mount Calvary Presbyterian Church, 1399 Walnut Grove Rd. Roebuck, SC 29376. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM, conducted by Rev. Richard Thomas.
