Opal Margaret Dowling

Our sweet and precious, Opal Dowling, took her final breath here on earth on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 11:30PM.

Born April 24, 1949 in southern Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Oberry Dowling. Opal was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church for over 40 years.

She is survived by her son, Mark Dowling and his wife, Tory, of Boiling Springs, SC; grandchildren, Justin Dowling, Austin Dowling (Carly), and Alyssa Dowling; a brother, Evan Dowling (Gail) of Boiling Springs, SC; and sisters, Bonnie Carney of Spartanburg, SC, Ouida Biggs (David) of Boiling Springs, SC, and Carol King (Terry) of St. Augustine, FL.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 1^st, 12-12:45PM at Trinity Baptist Church, 390 Wingo Heights Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The funeral will follow at 1PM, officiated by Reverend Shawn Rhinehart, Terry King, and David Biggs.

Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC.
