Patsy Brady Brown

Spartanburg, SC – Patsy Brady Brown, 71, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, February 26, 2021. Born June 26, 1949 in Salisbury, NC, Patsy was the beloved wife of Paul Brown of fifty-two years. She was a daughter of Maxine Williams Spivey and her husband Jim and the late C.L. “Doc” and Helen Brady . Patsy was a graduate of North Stanley High School and Appalachian State University. She will be remembered for her selfless love and devotion to her family, friends, students and church family. Patsy’s passion for teaching children to read spanned a forty-year career at Pacolet Elementary School. A member of Cowpens First Baptist Church for more than fifty years, she was passionate about her relationship with her Lord and Savior. In addition to her husband and mother, Patsy was survived by her son, Derek Brown (Shandel), her daughter, Lesley Corn (J. Dwayne), her grandchildren, Nicholas Brown (Kaylin), Katlyn Brown, Brock and Benjamin Johnson, and her great-grandsons Chandler, Braedyn and Jace Brown; her sister, Peggy Caton, and brothers, Bobby and Johnny (Karen) Brady; many nieces, nephews and special friends. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Mary Black ICU for their exceptional care. A graveside service will be Tuesday, March 2nd at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at 1:00 pm conducted by The Reverend Bill Westerfer and The Reverend Kermit Morris. The family will receive friends after the service. In remembrance of Patsy, memorials may be made to Cowpens First Baptist Church Disaster Relief Fund, Post Office Box 1818, Cowpens, SC 29330.
