Patsy Wood Caldwell

Moore, SC- Patsy Wood Caldwell, 81, wife of the late James Edward “Jimmy” Caldwell, died Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Born August 26, 1939 and raised in the Fairmont Community, Patsy was a daughter of the late Lourie and Myrtle Owens Wood. She was a graduate of Byrnes High School, class of 1957. Patsy was an avid baker and loved to read, especially a good romance novel. She was a nurturing and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Patsy was a charter member of the Church at the Mill. Patsy is survived by her sons, Scott Caldwell and his wife, Mary, of Boiling Springs, SC and Craig Caldwell and his wife, Sonya, of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, James Douglas and Kathrine Ann Caldwell; special nieces, Deborah Vaughn and Susan Ballard; and a sister, Diane Sanders and her husband, Johnny. In addition to her husband of 62 years, Jimmy, she was predeceased by brothers, Bobby Wood and Vernon Wood; and sister, Betty Vaughn. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Becki Roberts, a dear family friend, and Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for their excellent care. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 10th, 5:00-7:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 11th, 1:00PM at Dunbar Funeral Home, officiated by Reverend Joey Burnett. Entombment will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in the mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
