Paul Bryan Taylor

May 16, 1963 — July 14, 2023

Moore, SC- Paul Bryan Taylor, 60, husband of Crystal Edgens Taylor, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023.

Born May 16, 1963 in Spartanburg, SC, Paul was the son of Becky Bullington Taylor Cromer and the late Jack Carlisle Taylor. He proudly served his country in the US Navy, SeaBees Construction Battalion. Paul was a self-employed entrepreneur who loved moving dirt and learning to work with acrylics. But most recently enjoyed working at TLC Motors and D2 Powersports, riding in and delivering all the new toys.

Paul loved everything outdoors - camping, fishing, SEGA racing, pulling for Chase Elliot in NASCAR, Panther’s football and riding his Harley. Paul was always planning a good time with friends and family, from oyster roasts and shrimp boils, to BBQ’ing or smoking a brisket for a crowd, and always ready with a joke to stir things up. He was most at peace spending time at his pond or enjoying a beautiful sunset in Beaufort.

He was a romantic at heart, and seized the “once in a lifetime” opportunity to propose to his best friend of 14 years, Crystal, during the solar eclipse.

Paul was a man of many talents, fixing anything big or small. He was always willing to lend a hand if someone was stuck on the side of the road or something needed fixing, but especially if his loving mother needed a visit, or just a call from Paul.

Paul B. Taylor was truly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Crystal, and his mother, he leaves behind his sons, Paul “Bryan” Taylor, Jr. (Sierra) and J. Carson Taylor (Austin); his bonus children, Tommi Burgess (Ryan) and Blake Burgess; his bonus grandchildren, Brooklyn, Nico, and Elias; siblings, Libba Taylor McCullough (Tim), William Taylor (Rene), and Benjamin C. Taylor (Christine); nieces and nephews, Julie (Josh), Daniel (Heidi), Adam, Beau (Jessica), Benjamin, Brittany, Ben Jr., Marianna, Charlotte, Ella, and Charlie; numerous loving great nieces and nephews; his father in-law, Thomas “Mr. Tommy” Edgens; mother in-law, Brenda Forrester; brother in-law, Tim Edgens (Summer); and his previous wife, Kristi Taylor.

Paul loved all his fur babies throughout his life, namely Abby, Booger T. Washington, Opie Taylor, his “little buddy” Albert F. Einstein, and of course, Daisygirl.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 22nd, 12:00PM until 12:45PM at Dunbar Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00PM, officiated by Reverend Dr. Todd Lowe.

The family will host a celebration of life at the home on Saturday, July 22nd, 4-7PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wheels Through Time, PO Box 790, Maggie Valley, NC 28751, where Paul was a lifetime donor.
