Paul Raymond Womick

Paul Raymond Womick of Moore, SC, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born on December 19, 1944, to the late Geneva Henderson Womick and Boyce Thomas Womick.

Paul devoted much of his life to serving others. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, including service in the Vietnam War. Following his retirement from the Navy, Paul continued his life of service in law enforcement with the State of South Carolina, retiring with a second distinguished career in public service. He was respected by colleagues for his dedication, professionalism, and steadfast commitment to his work.

Above all, Paul was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Providing for and caring for his family was one of his greatest purposes in life, and he took tremendous pride in making sure those he loved were always supported. He was especially devoted to his wife, Joyce, whom he adored and loved to dote on throughout their 56 years of marriage. His dedication to his family was evident in all he did, and his love will remain a lasting part of the lives he touched.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Joyce Womick; children, Trina Steagall, Tracy Simpson (Jeff), and Lonnie Womick (Sofi); sisters, Linda Coggins (Dennis) and Rachel Bratton; sister-in-law, Donna Womick; and eight grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his siblings, Harold Womick, Lib Mitchell, Gary Womick, and Margaret Womick; and brother-in-law, Jack Bratton.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
