Phyllis Ann (Betsill) Haupt

Phyllis Ann (Betsill) Haupt, 59, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. She was born in Fort Dix, NJ on July 5, 1967, to Sammy and Sarah V. Betsill.

After attending Vanden High School and Santa Barbara University in California, Phyllis became an international model. She was based in New York, but her career took her to many major cities around the world. Phyllis returned to South Carolina when her health declined. There, she earned her certification in medical billing and coding from Virginia College with many awards.

Phyllis was a caring, strong hearted woman and mother who loved nature, animals, and helping others. She played many different sports and was musically inclined. Her personality could light up any room, no matter what the occasion. Phyllis will be remembered as a one-of-a-kind woman, unforgettable and loved by many.

Along with her parents, Phyllis is survived by her beloved daughter, Sierra McKinney.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, July 31, 2026, in J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home.
