Ralph Nicholas Califano

Ralph Nicholas Califano, 79, of Greer, SC, passed on Monday, June 15, 2020. Born October 23, 1940, in Tarrytown, NY, he was the only child to the late Anthony Califano and Philomena Pircio. He will join much of his family in Heaven, who have been waiting for the party to begin. Everyone knew that the party really began once he arrived. Through much of his life, Ralph was a finance manager and mortgage broker in South Florida and South Carolina, retiring in Greenville. He loved golf and was passionate about his beloved Miami Dolphins. He will be remembered for his loving spirit and always being up for fun. He loved his family and will still be at every event in spirit. He is survived by his three children, Jacqueline Piccirilli of Roebuck, SC, Nichole Ortiz of Davie, Florida, and Nicholas Califano, Jr. of Greer, SC. He has 5 grandchildren, Anthony Ortiz and Emilee Ortiz of Davie, FL, and Alex Piccirilli, Nico Piccirilli and Angie Piccirilli of Roebuck SC. Ralph was the firstborn of his family's children and even though he was an only child, he was the “big brother” to many. Always protective of his cousins Jeanette DelFranco Blanco, Camille DelFrano Loy, Linda DelFranco Hippler, Phyllis DelFrano Devito, Patricia Caniano Munoz, and Constance Nardullo Iurato. Having strong bonds with his cousins Johnny Califano, Tom Califano, Michael Califano, and Nick Nardullo. Stories of the good ol’days will continue to be passed on by all who loved him.
