Ralph Dixon Haithcock

Ralph Dixon Haithcock passed away on May 19th, at the age of 93. He was the son of the late, Reece and Florence Haithcock. Ralph was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and great grandfather. 

Ralph was born on February 10, 1933 in Big Lick, NC and raised from a humble beginnings. It was during this time that he learnt the value of a dollar and the need to take care of the possessions he had. He was very curious and wanted to now and understand how everything worked. Shortly after high school he joined the Navy and traveled much of the world. He met the love of his life Mary Alice Tussey, and thy spent nearly 60 years together before her death in December of 2017. Ralph enjoyed a long career as a mechanical engineer at Lockwood Greene. He enjoyed woodworking, welding, and various other hobbies. He wa deeply loved by his family and will be forever missed!

Ralph is survived by his son, Gregory Haithcock ( Alisa), daughter Michele Cooksey (Rick); grandchildren, Melody Haithcock Fletcher (Jeff), Hunter Haithcock, Hannah Cooksey Newton (Josh), Grace Cooksey Veve (Mike); great grandchildren, Anna Pearl Fletcher, Adalee Fletcher, Charlotte Newton, Maya Newton, and Reese Veve; and one brother Joe Haithcock. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Reece and Florence Haithcock, wife, Mary Alice Tussey Haithcock, brother Bill Haithcock, and sister Catherine Haithcock Simmerson.

A private service will be held for the family at a later date.
