Rebecca “Becky” Moyer Harmon passed away October 4, 2026 at the age of 75. She was the widow of Barney L. Harmon. They were married for 36 years at the time of his death.

Becky is survived by one son, David Harmon (Adrienne); two grandsons, James and Graham Harmon; siblings, Delores Henderson, Eugene F. Moyer, Jr. (Judy), Steve Moyer (Beki), and Jack Moyer (Karen); and many nieces and nephews.

Becky was born in Spartanburg County on August 8, 1951 and was predeceased by her parents, Eugene F. Moyer, Sr. and Gladys Clary Moyer. She was a 1969 graduate of Spartanburg High School and attended University of South Carolina Upstate. The summer after her junior year in high school, Becky joined her father’s construction company. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper, later holding the position of President of Moyer Construction Company. In September of 2024 she was recognized by the Spartanburg Association of Realtors for being an active real estate broker for 50 years. Up until her death, she held an active real estate brokers license in the state of South Carolina.

She was active in her community and was a member of the Upstate Sertoma Club for over 35 years, holding several positions. She was also a member of the RPB Shag Club, charter member of the Oak Creek Plantation Garden Club, a member of 2 party bridge clubs for over 40 years: the Ferndale Bridge Club and the 3rd Wednesday Bridge Club. Before her retirement, Becky participated in many of the Life Long Learning classes through Wofford College, including Duplicate Bridge lessons, and joined the Wednesday Morning Duplicate Bridge Club when they started back up after Covid.

Becky grew up in Cudd Memorial Baptist Church. In her early adult years, she joined First Baptist Church of Spartanburg and was a member for over 40 years. She loved cooking and entertaining for her friends and family. She was a member of several dinner clubs and was known to receive a thank you note addressed to “Martha Stewart aka Becky Harmon”. A few friends fondly called her Martha.

Her passion in life was spending time with her two grandsons. Becky loved the beach and spent many days at Wild Dunes with her family and friends. One of her favorite sayings was “The motion of the ocean is my therapy.” Becky also enjoyed entertaining at her lake house, even though she claimed all she did was work up there. She enjoyed growing flowers and taking bouquets from her garden to friends in the hospital and retirement centers.

A two-time cancer survivor, Becky was always thankful to her Lord and Savior and to Dr. James Bearden for giving her life since her first diagnosis in 2010.

Service details will be announced shortly.
